Emergence of the neutrino mass
We present a parameter-free derivation of an absolute neutrino mass scale based on a closed variational framework, without introducing additional fields, symmetries, or model-dependent mechanisms. Starting from a self-consistent global functional structure, we show that neutrino mass emerges as an invariant quantity associated with the closure of the variational principle itself, rather than as a free parameter or a consequence of symmetry breaking. The resulting mass scale is uniquely determined by global invariants already present in the framework and does not rely on seesaw mechanisms, Yukawa couplings, or extensions of the Standard Model. The predicted value lies in the sub-eV range, compatible with current cosmological bounds and neutrino oscillation data, while remaining fully independent of experimental fitting or phenomenological assumptions. This approach provides a fundamentally different perspective on neutrino mass generation, framing it as an emergent property of a closed, self-consistent structure rather than an adjustable quantity. The result is directly testable by upcoming precision measurements of the absolute neutrino mass scale and offers a falsifiable alternative to conventional particle-physics explanations.
