Evaluation of seizure incidence in hospitalized patients in Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences selected Hospitals.

Children and adolescents are more prone to early-onset seizures, whereas adults experience both primary and late seizures. Generalized seizures were predominant (96%), with only 4% being focal. The overall incidence of post-traumatic seizures was 1.26%. These findings high-light the need for targeted monitoring of high-risk patients based on age and consciousness lev-el. Future studies should involve larger multicenter cohorts and explore alternative strategies for preventing both early and late post-traumatic seizures.
