Factors determining the effectiveness of ARTs: a review of the literature
The factors that determine the effectiveness of assisted reproductive technology procedures are numerous and not fully understood. The review presents an analysis of literature data, according to which the main role is played by the presence of a euploid embryo, and the likelihood of obtaining one depends on the patient’s age and ovarian reserve indicators. Also, an undoubted role is played by gynecological diseases associated with infertility, such as uterine fibroids, external genital endometriosis, adenomyosis, the presence of hydrosalpinx, Asherman’s syndrome and chronic endometritis. The review also critically examines tests that determine endometrial receptivity.
