Algorithm-Mediated Attitude Repair in High-Arousal Online Discourse A State-Based Naturalistic Case Analysis
This document functions as a secondary working paper extending the application of a constitutionally fixed 48-state inference framework. It analyzes a single naturalistic social media interaction event to explore state transitions under algorithmic amplification, with a focus on escalation dynamics and rare instances of unsolicited attitude repair. The paper emphasizes descriptive adequacy over prediction or evaluation and is designed to support scholarly discussion, methodological calibration, and future funded research proposals. This paper is part of an ongoing research program on state-based inference systems. It is intended to be read as an illustrative and boundary-oriented extension of the methodological framework presented in Ma (2025), rather than as a standalone validation or generalization study.
