Chatops-Based Chatbot Application for Optimizing Lecturer Performance Reporting Process: Case Study at Education University

The process of reporting lecturer performance based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in many universities is still done manually, resulting in increased administrative burden on lecturers, potentially reducing their work efficiency. This study aims to develop a Telegram chatbot application based on the ChatOps approach to assist lecturers and simplify the KPI reporting process. The application was developed through the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Functionality testing through black-box testing to ensure each feature works as designed, usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) involving seven lecturers from five study programs. User experience was further confirmed through short interviews. The SUS score obtained was 72.5, which is in the "Good" category. The evaluation findings from respondents showed that there was a smoother reporting flow, automated guidance and warnings to assist cut down on mistakes, and the ability to download data summaries. These results show that the system that was set up can help administrators by making things easier and getting teachers to report on how well they are doing.
