The Voynich Manuscript: A Concluded Structural and Minimal Phonetic Hypothesis
This work presents a concluded structural and minimal phonetic hypothesis concerning the Voynich Manuscript. Building on prior analyses of functional layering and comparative writing systems (Linear B, Linear A, Proto-Elamite), the study examines whether a residual phonetic layer is structurally plausible after methodological isolation of non-phonetic elements such as numerical, cyclical, and marker signs. Using a strictly language-agnostic and falsifiable framework, the analysis demonstrates that the remaining sign inventory exhibits positional flexibility, constrained combinatorics, internal behavioral subclasses, and sequence restrictions compatible with phonetic systems in a minimal sense. No claims regarding phonetic values, linguistic affiliation, or semantic decipherment are made. This publication formally concludes the present line of inquiry and is intended as a stable methodological reference for future empirical or computational research on the Voynich Manuscript.
