Adaptive torque compensated MRAS-based sensorless control method of permanent magnet synchronous motor

The mechanical structure of the eccentric rotor in a single-rotor compressor causes periodic load fluctuations during operation, which become more pronounced at lower speeds. This leads to estimation errors in rotor position when using sensorless control techniques, thereby degrading compressor performance. To address this issue, this paper proposes a sensorless control method based on Model Reference Adaptive System (MRAS) with adaptive torque compensation. The difference between the actual torque and the estimated torque is fed into the estimated speed through an adaptive structure. This approach contributes to reducing the estimation error in sensorless control and improving compressor performance, demonstrating certain practical engineering significance.
