Vibration calculation methodology for composite transformer cores

This study investigates the vibration characteristics of composite transformer cores, comparing them to traditional single-material cores. Key challenges include modelling the equivalent magnetic reluctance network for multi-material systems, addressing flux distortion at material interfaces due to discontinuities in magnetic permeability, and the gradient effects i n magnetic flux density distribution caused by material heterogeneity. To address these issues, a dual-track computational approach combining engineering analytical methods and finite element analysis is developed. A three-phase, three-column core structure model composed of amorphous alloy and silicon steel laminations is established, followed by a mathematical model for vibration acceleration. Additionally, a multi-physics numerical simulation is conducted using COMSOL Multiphysics to simulate the vibration behaviour. This framework integrates theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, providing a multidimensional approach for analysing composite transformer core vibrations.
