Lip-Pursing Stereotypies as a Manifestation of Dravet Syndrome in Adulthood
Epileptic encephalopathies are increasingly presenting in adolescence and adulthood, with advancement in the treatment of these disorders among children. At this older age, the seizure burden is frequently reduced, and movement disorders may emerge as an important phenotype. We report a patient with Dravet syndrome (DS) presenting in adulthood with prominent oral stereotypies, along with ataxia, dystonia, chorea-athetosis, and parkinsonism.
