A Study on the Historical Evaluation of Confucian Aesthetics

The purpose of this study is to suggest a direction in which modern life can be practiced through the evaluation of the status of the world's aesthetic history of Confucius. Confucius' aesthetics is related to organic humanity. It is said that if self-aware behavior can be performed based on clan blood ties, society will recover from 'Ye(禮)' in a reconciliatory atmosphere. It inspires inspiration as a poem, establishes order as courtesy, and completes character through music. This thesis studies the basic structure and contribution of Confucius aesthetics, historical limitations, and the status of world aesthetic history of Confucius by comparing the aesthetics of Plato, Aristotle. Confucius' aesthetics will be an important measure to harmoniously solve the present diversity and complex perspectives of the future, ratio, and order.
