Recent progress on physical and biomedical studies of cold atmospheric plasmas from plasma health scientech group
With dramatic development of cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) science and technology, biomedical applications of CAPs have become one of the emerging research fields. In this paper, studies on various CAPs conducted in Plasma Health Scientech Group are reviewed, including the physical design and characterization of the plasma sources, cellular experiments with establishment of plasma dosage, animal experiments for validating combined capacity of CAPs for fast hemostasis, wound healing promotion and broad-spectrum sterilization, and clinical case studies for confirming the safety and therapeutic efficacy of CAPs.
