Design of high axial-to-radial ratio multi-coil magnetic coupling mechanism

This study presents a multi-coil wireless power transfer (WPT) system based on magnetic coupling resonance, employing an innovative four-layer eight-coil compensation topology. The proposed configuration achieves decoupling between same-side coils through a hierarchical series resonant network. The research optimizes the selection of high-frequency magnetic cores and Litz wires to minimize power losses, while systematically validating the system's power transmission performance under dynamic operating conditions through comprehensive simulations and experimental tests.

Abstract

This study presents a multi-coil wireless power transfer (WPT) system based on magnetic coupling resonance, employing an innovative four-layer eight-coil compensation topology. The proposed configuration achieves decoupling between same-side coils through a hierarchical series resonant network. The research optimizes the selection of high-frequency magnetic cores and Litz wires to minimize power losses, while systematically validating the system's power transmission performance under dynamic operating conditions through comprehensive simulations and experimental tests.
