An improved model predictive control strategy to reduce common-mode voltage for PMLSM
For the permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM), motor predictive control (MPC) gained more and more popularity because of its simple structure and fast dynamic response. The traditional method is to select the optimal voltage vector (VV) from two zero VVs and six non-zero VVs and apply them to the inverter. But it will cause a large common-mode voltage (CMV). Many methods to suppress CMV have been proposed, but they all have the problem of large switching frequency or increased current ripple. This paper proposes an improved MPC method to restrict CMV without increasing the switching frequency and current ripple. And the validity of the method has been verified through simulation.
