Pre-Transitional Phase Orientation as a Physical Regime - Sign Stabilization Without Realization

This work introduces and formalizes a pre-transitional physical regime as a distinct and empirically accessible state preceding realization events such as measurements, decays, or phase transitions. Contrary to standard treatments that regard the pre-realization interval as noise or transient instability, the paper demonstrates that phase orientation (sign) can stabilize independently of magnitude, event occurrence, or long-range order. The present study is conceptual and unifying in nature, and explicitly builds on a series of earlier empirical investigations by the author, in which sign stabilization and orientation-first behavior were identified across multiple physical systems. These empirical results—documented in the referenced works—include analyses of CP asymmetries in three-body decays, neutrino oscillation residuals, and continuous quantum measurement, and provide the observational foundation for the framework developed here. Drawing on these established findings, the paper identifies a regime in which interferential or collective selection fixes orientation while realization remains absent. This regime is characterized by robust sign coherence, independence from amplitude, and the absence of an intrinsic internal time scale. Within this framework, transitions are reinterpreted not as instantaneous events, but as the termination of a finite, already structured state. The concept naturally leads to dynamically forbidden signs—orientations that cannot stabilize under given constraints—and implies ex-ante determination of the sign of any eventual outcome prior to realization. The work does not introduce new experimental data or microscopic dynamics. Instead, it provides a unifying physical interpretation of existing empirical observations reported in the referenced publications. By treating the pre-transition as a physical object rather than a null interval, the paper highlights a previously unrecognized layer of physical structure that precedes events, measurements, and phase changes.
