A dataset of near-surface oxygen content along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway (Qinghai Section) in winter and summer 2024

<p indent="0mm">With economic development, the population of short-term visitors entering the hinterland of the plateau through the Qinghai Tibet Highway continues to increase, while the public’s understanding of the health risks of environmental hypoxia along the Qinghai Tibet Highway remains extremely limited. As a result, reference data on oxygen content are lacking for various human activities. This dataset takes the Qinghai-Tibet Highway (Qinghai section) as the research area to measure the near-surface oxygen content along the highway. The quality of the data was strictly controlled during the field measurements, and 25 sampling sites were set up based on landscape differences. Finally, a single Excel file was generated, containing two worksheets, which record latitude and longitude, altitude, temperature, pressure, ROC, and AOC data corresponding to the measurement points along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway (Qinghai section) in January and June 2024. On this basis, the spatiotemporal variation characteristics of oxygen content along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway can be revealed to enhance the public′s comprehensive understanding of the hypoxic environment along the Qinghai Tibet Highway.
