Structure of $D_{s0}^{*}(2317)$ and the role of covariant description in the relativistic quark model

The unexpectedly low mass and narrow width of the $D_{s0}^{*}(2317)$ meson have posed substantial challenges to conventional non-relativistic quark models, indicating a complex internal structure beyond the simple $c\bar{s}$. In this work, we investigated the decay properties of the $D_{s0}^{*}(2317)$ meson using a relativistic covariant quark model. Our approach explicitly incorporates the negative energy components that inevitably arise in the relativistic covariant formalism such as the Bethe-Salpeter approach, which are often ignored in simpler non-relativistic frameworks. The obtained results indicate that the relativistic effects considered in this work play a crucial role in both strong and electromagnetic decays, providing novel insights into the internal structure of the $D_{s0}^{*}(2317)$.
