The genome sequence of the snail-killing fly, Ilione lineata (Fallén, 1820) (Diptera: Sciomyzidae)
<ns3:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual female <ns3:italic>Ilione lineata</ns3:italic> (snail-killing fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Sciomyzidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1 281.11 megabases and 1 270.43 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (98.82%) and haplotype 2 (98.86%) are scaffolded into 6 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 20.4 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns3:p>
