Application of nurturing approaches in the early years: Evaluation of a pilot programme for funded providers of early years establishments in Perth and Kinross

Over the last four years Perth and Kinross Council have been dedicated to developing their Whole School Community Nurturing Relationships approach. The Educational Psychology service has been collaborating with the Nurture Development Officer to design and deliver training to schools through the application of the six principles of nurture utilising an action research model. The present article discusses the adaptation of this model to suit funded providers within the early years.
