The genome sequence of the gem anemone, Aulactinia verrucosa (Pennant, 1777) (Actiniaria: Actiniidae)
<ns3:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual <ns3:italic>Aulactinia verrucosa</ns3:italic> (gem anemone; Cnidaria; Anthozoa; Actiniaria; Actiniidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 393.86 megabases and 394.08 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.08%) is scaffolded into 19 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 20.92 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns3:p>
