Execution Truth vs Review Truth
Description (Canonical, Dependency-Fixed, Authority-Closed) This document formalizes the distinction between execution truth and review truth and demonstrates why governance mechanisms operating after execution cannot establish whether an action was permitted at the moment it occurred. It is strictly dependent on the architectural invariant defined in the Execution Authorization Anchor and on the failure mode formalized in Identical Inputs, Divergent Outcomes. The document shows that, once execution truth is not enforced as a non-bypassable condition at execution time, post-execution review mechanisms become structurally incapable of establishing authoritative permission. This record does not define a standard, does not prescribe an implementation, and does not propose remediation. It establishes an architectural boundary condition for governance-grade accountability. This record is strictly referential and non-operational.It introduces no standards, implementations, protocols, policy guidance, or compliance requirements. This record:- provides no legal advice;- makes no policy recommendations;- provides no implementation or operational guidance;- asserts no factual claims about any real-world incident. Any interpretation beyond the literal text of this record is not authorized without explicit written consent of the author.
