Shifts in Home Health Care Delivery for Patients with Dementia Following 2020 Payment Reform in the U.S

Following implementation of a new HH payment system (PDGM), patients with dementia are less likely to receive services, including those most relevant to care for PwD such as occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, and social work. These unintended consequences may threaten HH quality and the ability to safely age in place for the high-need population of community-living PwD.
