A checklist of identified legal issues impacting safe and efficient delivery of live- remote exercise
This checklist provides an overview of various legal aspects and considerations for live remote exercise (in the following: tele-rehabilitation) services, encompassing the perspectives of different stakeholders involved. It serves as a guide for providers of live remote rehabilitation services, helping them navigate the complex legal landscape and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly, but not limited to, a European cross-border context. The checklist (from “2 Patients/Clients” on) is based on various categories, including the interests and needs of the individual stakeholders involved when offering tele-rehabilitation. While the legal checklist can be adapted with minor modifications for other contexts within the field of telemedicine, the specific setting of the PREFERABLE-II project was crucial for the development of this document. The EU-funded project, PREFERABLE-II, stands for personalised exercise oncology aimed at improving supportive care. The trial seeks to demonstrate the (cost-) effectiveness of live remote exercise for cancer survivors. Disclaimer – No Legal Advice: This checklist is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. It offers illustrative, non-exhaustive examples of common scenarios and should not be relied upon as a substitute for case-specific legal assessment in any particular jurisdiction.
