Concept Note - Boosting flood resilience through controlled flooding, community insurance and nature-based solutions
The scheme proposed in this concept note has been developed and adapted for a specific area of northern Italy, the Po River Basin District, and in particular for the regions of Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, and Lombardy. The objective is to test its operational, financial, and regulatory feasibility within current institutional and legislative frameworks.
