A Rare Case of Primary Cervical Sympathetic Ganglioneuroblastoma
A bstract Neuroblastic tumors in childhood are common, usually of sympathetic origin. Cervical intermixed ganglioneuroblastomas (GNBs) are far less common tumors posing a diagnostic challenge. Our case, a 5-year-old boy presented to us in the clinic with a progressively enlarging neck mass for past 1-year. The lesion was surgically excised after evaluation and the histopathological examination revealed it to be GNB. The management protocol and literature review of this rare tumor are discussed.
