Recent progress on logic functional devices based on graphene metasurfaces

The metasurface composed of sub-wavelength engineering structures has completely changed the manipulation of light, providing unprecedented control over optical properties such as polarization, phase, and amplitude. The unique optoelectronic properties of graphene materials have been widely applied in the field of metasurfaces. This makes the optical properties such as polarization, phase, and amplitude of the metasurface dynamically adjustable. This article explores the latest developments in graphene metasurfaces, with a focus on their applications in logic functional devices. We investigated the design principles behind these metasurfaces, including polarization angle manipulation, material selection, and the design of tunable metasurfaces. We also explored the future applications of graphene metasurfaces in terahertz communication systems and explored their potential for implementing specific logic functional designs. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first attempt to summarize the recent advancements in metasurfaces with logic functional design. This article delves into metasurfaces with encoding and decoding capabilities, discussing their importance in optical communication, quantum information processing, and other emerging applications. By utilizing advances in materials science and nanotechnology, designing various logic functional devices based on metasurfaces has the potential to completely change the future of optical communication systems and logic device design.
