Novel Schiff base-Pt( <scp>ii</scp> ) complexes: inhibition of Aβ aggregation <i>via</i> histidine interaction

Three novel Schiff base–Pt( ii ) complexes were synthesized and characterized. Complexes I and III showed significant anti-amyloid activity by inhibiting Aβ 1–42 peptide aggregation in vitro , with potential to cross the blood–brain barrier.
