Front Cover: Synthesis of an Amphiphilic Polymer With Adjustable Surface Charge and Polarity and its Use for Obtaining Water‐Soluble Nanoparticles (Adv. Synth. Catal. 24/2025)
Water-Soluble Nanoparticles In their Research Article (10.1002/adsc.70136), Wolfgang J. Parak and co-workers show that amphiphilic copolymers with zwitterionic character allow for tuning of the pH-dependent surface charge of encapsulated nanoparticles while ensuring their colloidal stability, which is relevant for applications in biological systems. A straightforward synthesis approach for such polymers is demonstrated with fluorescent quantum dots as a nanoparticle model system.
