The Order of Integer Solutions: An Axiomatic Framework for Diophantine Obstruction

The Order of Integer Solutions: An Axiomatic Framework for Diophantine Obstruction introduces a structural and axiomatic perspective on the existence of integer solutions to Diophantine equations. Rather than proposing new computational proofs, this work formalizes the conditions under which integer solutions are admissible with respect to the intrinsic order of the integers. The framework, called the Order of Integer Solutions (OIS), is built upon five axioms governing well-ordering compatibility, lattice closure, non-recursive stability, structural necessity, and degree stability. Within this framework, Diophantine impossibility is interpreted not as a failure of technique, but as a consequence of structural incompatibility between algebraic degree and the ordered nature of the integer lattice. Classical results such as Fermat-type impossibility emerge naturally as instances of order violation, while higher-degree and multi-degree equations can be systematically analyzed through the same lens. This work does not claim to resolve open conjectures such as Fermat’s Last Theorem or Beal’s Conjecture. Instead, it provides an explanatory foundation that clarifies why such equations are structurally obstructed, reframing infinite descent and algebraic non-closure as inevitable outcomes of order incompatibility. The OIS framework is intended as a reusable conceptual tool for Diophantine classification, suitable for extension to asymmetric exponent systems, coprimality conditions, and other higher-degree Diophantine problems. Keywords: Diophantine equations, axiomatic frameworks, infinite descent, lattice closure, integer order, structural obstruction
