Posthuman Subjectivity: The Interactive Installation Art - Countdown X Hours
Abstract This study explores the posthuman subjectivity through the interactive installation prototype Countdown X Hours, focusing on “decentralized human subjectivity” and “fluid identities” within the fusion of technology and life. The artwork investigates the aesthetic expression with artificial intelligence (AI) through ChatGPT API, prompting reflections on “conscious” creation and the blurred boundaries between human and machine. The installation presents an imaginary subject—a dynamic “collection of basic shapes”—that interacts with participants, highlighting mutual influence and philosophical reflections on the future of life forms. Meanwhile, the study offers a critical examination of human-machine integration, questioning the existential limits of technological fusion within a posthuman framework.
