Technical Note: Semantic Element in the METACORE Architecture
This technical note introduces and formally defines the concept of a Semantic Element as a foundational architectural unit of the METACORE framework. A Semantic Element is specified as a minimal invariant semantic constraint extracted from a text, preserved under admissible transformations of formulation, and serving to delimit the space of valid reasoning within a given corpus. The document establishes the ontological status, core properties, negative definition, and architectural role of Semantic Elements without reference to specific models, implementations, or application domains. The note is intended as a normative architectural fixation. It provides a stable semantic and ontological basis for subsequent METACORE standards, reasoning architectures, and large-scale corpus processing workflows. The text is deliberately minimal, closed, and self-sufficient.
