Whitepaper Eco-Balance of Polivouga's product made with recycled or bio-based materials compared to fossil counterparts
Polivouga case addresses agricultural plastic waste by developing biodegradable agricultural films that eliminate end-of-life emissions. Mechanical limitations of biodegradable materials were improved using nanocellulose masterbatches. LCA results show reduced CO₂ emissions, especially when combined with renewable energy, achieving up to 33% reduction compared to the base scenario. Ongoing optimization is expected to improve economic feasibility.
