THE ROLE OF TIME CONTROL IN TREATMENT QUALITY MANAGEMENT
This study presents a detailed analysis of the duration of various stages of surgical procedures and the intervals between them, based on the data from computerized patient monitoring in operating rooms and intensive care units. It is demonstrated that average time indicators can serve as an effective tool for assessing patients’ condition when developing protocols for similar surgical interventions. It is proposed to use statistical data from patients with a favorable perioperative course and successful treatment outcomes. Integrating such objective time standards obtained using computerized monitoring systems into clinical surgical protocols will significantly increase their practical value when analyzing cases with complications. Furthermore, this approach will improve methods for assessing the quality of medical care and expand prognostic capabilities in identifying the causes of complications by analyzing trends in both individual stages of the procedure and the surgical intervention as a whole.
