Deconstructing Elon Musk's Narratives: A Taxonomy of Coherence and Global Harm
We begin by outlining our method for analyzing Elon Musk’s official narratives. This involves (a) a GUFT coherence assessment (gauging empathy, transparency, etc.) and (b) a qualitative taxonomy ranking each narrative by its potential harm. Musk’s main published narratives, from Tesla “Master Plans” and Mars colonization manifestos to his pronouncements on free speech and autonomous driving, will be treated as ideological artifacts: carefully crafted texts telling the world what Musk claims he is doing and why. We will examine each narrative theme to see where it aligns with reality, where hyperreal delusion or false coherence kicks in, how it scores on GUFT metrics, and what global harms could result, given Musk’s immense reach and the scale of his companies. Throughout, we incorporate postmodern, feminist, queer, indigenous, class-conscious, and global-holistic lenses to illuminate who is centered and who is erased in these narratives.
