A GEOSPATİAL ANALYSİS OF CLİMATE CHANGE–İNDUCED TRANSFORMATİONS İN WATER BODİES
With the advancement of remote sensing technologies, satellite imagery has become a powerful tool for monitoring temporal and spatial variations in water bodies. This approach allows for precise observation of changes in lakes, rivers, reservoirs, wetlands, glaciers, snow cover, and groundwater systems. By leveraging satellite data, researchers can not only quantify fluctuations in water extents but also anticipate potential hydrological risks and design adaptive management strategies. Comparative analyses over time enable the detection of trends and patterns, providing crucial information for sustainable water resource planning and climate change impact assessment.
