Reaction of Allyl Bromide with the Diels–Alder Adduct of Levoglucosenone and Piperylene

Abstract Conditions have been proposed for the addition of allyl bromide to the Diels–Alder adduct of levoglucosenone and piperylene. The reaction direction has been found to be largely determined by the solvent. The best result was obtained in tetrahydrofuran.
