Whitepaper Eco-Balance of all 5 products made with recycled or bio-based materials compared to fossil counterparts

The Convert2Green Eco-Balance Report demonstrates how circular, carbon-neutral materials can be successfully applied across five industrial sectors: automotive, medical packaging, batteries, smart textiles, and agricultural films. The report quantifies the economic and environmental effects of novel material and process solutions using standardized Life Cycle Assessment and Life Cycle Costing methodologies. The project facilitates the shift from laboratory-scale innovation to industrial implementation by functioning as an Open Innovation Test Bed. Each case study identifies materials and energy as the primary environmental hotspots by comparing C2G proposals with the conventional situation. In the majority of applications, the results demonstrate significant CO2 reductions and cost savings. Finally, when implemented throughout Europe, the combined solutions display considerable potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, supporting sustainability as a catalyst for circularity and industrial competitiveness.
