Improving road safety through a novel crosswalk: Comprehensive material study with photoluminescent resin — (Supplementary Material)
The supplementary material provided for this study (DOI 10.1016/j.jestch.2024.101793) includes structured datasets in XLS format. Specifically, it contains raw and processed data from mechanical, vibroacoustic and photoluminescent tests, such as luminance decay curves, vibration profiles, acoustic bandwidth and statistical summaries across different vehicle speeds. Additionally, the dataset incorporates 1,146 MP4 video files with a total size of 9.18 GB, documenting real-world trials of the photoluminescent crosswalk system. These videos capture day and night conditions, driver behavior and pedestrian interactions during controlled experiments, offering visual evidence of the system’s performance in reducing speed and improving visibility. Together, these resources enable replication of the experimental methodology, support advanced analysis of mechanical and functional properties, and provide a robust foundation for future research on sustainable and safe urban road design.
