Examining Periodontal Wellness: Effectiveness of Nonsurgical Intervention Utilizing the Perio Protect Method
Aim: Aim of this study was to evaluate the Perio Protect Method (PPM) for its effectiveness as an additional therapy to scaling and root planing (SRP). Methodology: For this in vivo study, ten individuals of age 30-60 years, with chronic generalized periodontitis, without diabetes were examined for Plaque Index (PI), Gingival Index (GI), Bleeding on Probing (BOP) and Probing Pocket Depth (PPD) before treatment and after using PPM. Results: Results showed significant improvement in PPD (Reduction in PPD from 5.60 to 2.60 mm) after using PPM. Conclusion: The results suggest that PPM can effectively enhance standard periodontal therapy.
