Decentralized and Secure Blockchain Solution for Tamper-proof Logging Events — (Supplementary Material)
The supplementary material provided for this study (DOI 10.3390/fi17030108) includes all experimental datasets in CSV and XLS formats, enabling full reproducibility of the performance tests and cost analyses conducted on Cardano and Solana blockchains. These files contain structured data on transaction times, throughput, resource consumption, and scalability metrics obtained during stress testing scenarios. Additionally, the complete source code is available on GitHub at https://github.com/jdmorei/seclogs. The repository hosts an open-source implementation of the proposed logging system, developed in Node.js and Angular, designed to ensure secure, immutable, and auditable storage of log events on public blockchains. The code includes modules for Syslog integration, message queuing, blockchain interaction, and log management, supporting transactions with and without metadata. This combination of datasets and open-source software aims to promote transparency, facilitate replication of experiments, and encourage adoption of decentralized standards for tamper-proof logging in cybersecurity and compliance contexts.
