Deconstructing Peter Thiel's Published Works: A Critical Theory Analysis
Goals and Methodology Peter Thiel, a billionaire tech entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and political provocateur, has authored or co-authored several influential works, including The Diversity Myth (1995) and Zero to One (2014), as well as notable essays like “The Straussian Moment” (2004) and “The Education of a Libertarian” (2009). These writings articulate Thiel’s worldview, from critiques of multiculturalism to praise of monopolistic capitalism and calls to escape democratic politics. Our goal is to deconstruct Thiel’s published ideas using a critical theory lens, examining where factual reality ends and hyperreal delusion begins. We will shine light on any false coherences he presents, scientifically, philosophically, and ideologically, and evaluate his arguments through postmodernist, feminist, queer, indigenous, class-conscious, and global-holistic theories.
