Python Script for Filtering AIS Data downloaded from the Danish Maritime Authority

This repository contains a Python script used to filter Automatic Identification System (AIS) data provided by the Danish Maritime Authority. The script was developed to preprocess raw AIS datasets for analysis in a peer-reviewed scientific publication. It performs data cleaning and filtering based on predefined criteria relevant to maritime traffic analysis. The code is made publicly available for transparency, reproducibility, and reuse in accordance with open science principles.
