Investigation of Hydroxocomplexes in the Mn(IV)‒Mn(II)‒OH‒H2O system

The Mn(IV)–Mn(II)–OH system is studied using the Clark–Nikolskii oxidation potential method at a temperature of 288.15 K–—H2O. The formation of the following manganese(IV) hydroxo compounds in the system is established: [Mn2(OH)2]6+; [Mn2(OH)4]4+; Mn(OH) $$_{2}^{{2 + }}$$ ; [Mn(OH)3]+ and manganese (II): [Mn(OH)2]0. Using the Yusupov oxidation function iteration method, mole fractions are calculated and their distribution diagrams of free and hydrolysis-bound forms of manganese in the two oxidation states are determined and constructed.
