THE NEW RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HUMANS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
The rapid development of artificial intelligence in recent years has profoundly transformed the ways humans interact with technology, not only in production and management but also in everyday cognitive, emotional, and decision-making processes. In this context, traditional frameworks for understanding human–AI relations—largely viewing AI either as a supportive tool or as a potential threat—have increasingly revealed their limitations in accurately describing the emerging reality. This paper adopts a neutral analytical approach, neither treating AI as a purely passive instrument nor framing it in an adversarial relationship with humans. Instead, it analyzes AI as a long-term interactive system in which humans and AI continuously influence, adjust to, and adapt to one another over time. On this basis, the study clarifies a fundamental shift in the nature of human–AI relations in contemporary society, from one-way interaction toward two-way, cumulative interaction. Finally, the paper introduces the concept of “co-evolution” as a descriptive framework to support understanding and assessing the long-term impacts of AI, while outlining initial implications for technology design and future policy development. The paper does not offer a predictive model or causal measurement; it provides an open descriptive lens for examining cumulative human–AI interaction over time.
