Primitive hydatic cyst of the thigh. About a case
Hydatid echinococcosis is preferentially localized to the liver. Muscular localization is very rare, representing less than 1%. The symptoms are often discreet and the diagnosis is confirmed by imaging: ultrasound and/or magnetic resonance imaging, thus avoiding any untimely action. The treatment of muscular echinococcosis is surgical, allowing recovery, but with a risk of recurrence. We report a case of isolated and primary localization of a muscular hydatid cyst of the thigh in a woman revealed by cruralgia.
