A rare case of closed medial total subtalar joint dislocation
Pure medial subtalar dislocation without any fractures is a rare clinical entity commonly caused by high-energy mechanisms, and are more likely to be open and associated with fractures of the other foot bones. early diagnosis and reduction under general anesthesia should be attempted as soon as possible to prevent further complications. We report a 28-year-old male patient sustained a closed medial subtalar dislocation without any associated fractures after falling from a high height. The patient was successfully treated by closed reduction with a good functional outcome. The purpose of this clinical case report is to highlight this uncommon injury to avoid delayed diagnosis and treatment.
