Arthroscopic bankart in the treatment of anterior shoulder instability in young athletes: A review of 5 cases
The arthroscopic BANKART technique is part of the surgical treatment panel for anterior shoulder instability, allowing the reinsertion of the antero-inferior labrum as well as the capsule at the level of the anterior edge of the glenoid. Its indication is based on a set of criteria brought together in the ISIS score, which must be less than or equal to 3 for an optimal result and a lower recurrence rate. Our first experience showed the success of this technique in young sports patients with a nil recurrence rate and recovery of sports activity at 3 months after an average follow-up of 26 months.
