Transpersonal-Integrative Architecture of the Personality System (TIAPS): White Paper
This white paper presents the Transpersonal-Integrative Architecture of the Personality System (TIAPS) — an original conceptual framework that describes personality as a coherent architectural system rather than a collection of isolated psychological functions, traits, or symptoms. TIAPS shifts the analytical focus from phenomenological content to structural organization, proposing that psychological stability, crisis, overload, and recovery emerge primarily from the configuration of the personality system as a whole. The model introduces an architectural ontology organized around four interdependent components: an integrative core, functional processing elements, a structural boundary (contour), and vectors of manifestation. The framework integrates bodily, emotional, cognitive, relational, and transpersonal levels along a vertical axis, allowing for a unified understanding of agency, meaning, and systemic resilience. TIAPS was developed through long-term clinical observation and integrative practice and addresses a gap in contemporary psychotherapy related to the lack of formalized structural models capable of explaining systemic collapse and rapid loss of coherence in otherwise high-functioning individuals. This document positions TIAPS as an autonomous conceptual model suitable for diagnostic reasoning, short-term systemic intervention, and further empirical research. It is not presented as a medical or psychiatric treatment protocol but as a structural framework with potential applications in psychotherapy, counseling, crisis work, and research contexts. A detailed description of clinical principles and the therapeutic process is presented in the document “TIAPS: Applied Therapeutic Framework”. Version 1.1: minor editorial revisions and structural clarification. No changes to the core theoretical model.
