Comparison of the Aerodynamic Blowdown Coefficients with Their Flight Estimates in the Longitudinal Motion of an Aircraft

The problem of comparing estimates of aerodynamic coefficients calculated from flight data with similar coefficients from the aerodynamic characteristics (ADC) bank is studied. A method for calculating the optimal estimates of coefficients closest to the blowdown data is proposed, and its properties are established. The method is tested on short-range flight data in longitudinal motion. A good mutual correspondence of flight and blowdown coefficients is shown.

Abstract

The problem of comparing estimates of aerodynamic coefficients calculated from flight data with similar coefficients from the aerodynamic characteristics (ADC) bank is studied. A method for calculating the optimal estimates of coefficients closest to the blowdown data is proposed, and its properties are established. The method is tested on short-range flight data in longitudinal motion. A good mutual correspondence of flight and blowdown coefficients is shown.
