Spacetime Rigidity and the Resolution of Black Hole Singularities (v2)
Black holes provide an extreme testing ground for the interplay between geometry, information, and thermodynamics. In this work we develop a rigidity–based description of black holes in which singularities are replaced by a finite, coherent core governed by informational constraints. The external geometry remains classical, while the internal description undergoes a progressive breakdown of time, locality, and extensivity. We show that the apparent paradoxes associated with horizons, information loss, and observer dependence arise from assuming a single global description. When geometry is treated as emergent from accessible information, the perspectives of external and infalling observers become complementary rather than contradictory. This framework preserves black hole thermodynamics, avoids singular behaviour, and provides a coherent interpretation of evaporation and information recovery, offering a unified informational picture that bridges gravitational and quantum descriptions. Editorial Note — December 2025 This version v2 incorporates the full structural advances achieved in the recent development of the rigidity framework. While the central physical results remain unchanged, the interpretation of the black hole interior has been clarified, and the role of information, coherence, and observer–dependent descriptions has been made explicit. In particular, the treatment of the core region has been reformulated to avoid the use of thermodynamic variables beyond their domain of validity, and the relation between external and internal descriptions has been sharpened. This edition therefore replaces the previous version as the consistent reference within the broader rigidity framework.
