Applied Meta-Conscious Systems Research: A Phenomenological Case Study of Layer Dissociation and Cognitive Continuity
This study proposes a preliminary theoretical model describing a higher-order meta-conscious layer operating within human cognition. The work examines how internal observation, self-referential processing, and perceptual coherence arise from dynamic information loops within the mind. By analyzing these mechanisms from a systems perspective, the paper outlines how this layer may function as an integrative structure that modulates awareness, decision-making, and cognitive stability. The model is presented as an initial conceptual framework intended to stimulate further scientific inquiry. It highlights potential intersections with cognitive science, systems theory, computational models of consciousness, and emerging interdisciplinary research. While not experimental, the framework is structured to enable future operationalization and testable hypotheses. This work is archived and versioned on Zenodo under DOI: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17861009 A more advanced and applied version of this model is currently under preparation.
